岔枕是用在铁路道岔上的专用轨枕。岔枕的结构一般会与普通的轨枕不同。道岔处要引导机车车辆从一股道转入另一股道导至此处的轨枕受力状况与产生的应力会跟普通线路上的轨枕情况不同。因此，岔枕的结构与一般轨枕的结构也不同。

在我国铁路上，岔枕以使用木枕为主，近年来还设计和试铺了混凝土岔枕及钢岔枕。

木岔枕断面和普通木枕基本相同，长度分为12级，其中最短的为2.60m，最长的为4.80m，级差为0.20m，采用螺纹道钉与垫板联结。

钢筋混凝土岔枕最长者为4.90m，级差为0.10m。混凝土岔枕与Ⅲ型混凝土枕具有相当的有效支承面积，采用无挡肩形式，岔枕顶面平直，岔枕中还预埋有塑料套管，依靠扣件摩擦及旋入套管中的道钉承受横向荷载，按7mm配筋。

岔枕使用

为了不让转换设备占用枕木空间，适应大型养路机械设备的需要，提速道岔中还设计并采用了钢岔枕。钢岔枕内腔应满足电务转换设备的安装要求，同时考虑允许尖轨或心轨±15mm的伸缩量。钢岔枕外宽要控制，以保证与相邻岔枕间形成足够的捣固空间。
